Buddy

Buddy by the Tall Hippy

They say you’re up there,
Maybe floating like air
When you should be down here
Safe and oblivious to fear.

But I guess that can’t be so,
Since you left me drowning in woe
The pain and despair were hard to shush
But I’ll never forget your last sweet touch.

I felt so alone
To be on my own
But then something hit me,
And I knew you were with me.

You are the wind that tickles my cheeks
I start to giggle, and suddenly think,
You’re here, right now, next to me
And everything is as it used to be.

I love things with happy endings! :) It's nice because this poem explores sad feelings, but leaves you with a happy feeling! What more could you want? :)
