A Sun Shower by The Nice One

As the rain falls to the ground,
The children hear the pattering sound,
The clouds cover up the shining sun,
Ruining all their hope and fun.
It’s not fair they whine and say,
Why does the rain have to fall today?
We had a picnic all planned out,
Till the sky filled up with doubt.
Suddenly the sky opened up.
The rain stopped falling by the cup.
The sun appeared shining bright;
And what they saw was quite a sight.
It was a rainbow.
