Can I Do It? by Apollo
From far away I looked,
I wondered if I had a chance.
She looks away as always,
If only I had a lance.
Will she notice me before I leave?
Before I cross the pond?
Will she see what I carry in my heart?
Will she not be the typical blonde?
I know she will,
As smart as beautiful she is.
No stronger could this feeling be,
Greater than any of his.
She moves, nay glides with grace,
All other girls looking her way.
To see what is the most beautiful being
To walk this earth that I shan’t stay.
How dare time take me,
I don’t want to leave.
This sight is precious,
Yet I must believe.
A movie,
A night!
I would do anything
To be with this beautiful sight.
The end is nearing,
I must make my move.
I must do it now,
Before I actually move.

Are you questioning your confidence or your ability to ask her out?
The last stanza confused me the first time I read it but now I get it.
I liked this poem a lot and it kept me thinking.
the author is moving soon. sothat's what the last stanza is referring to
