Dawn

Dawn by Pathos

I feel dawn approaching
the waking of all feeling
a hollow breeze is flowing
and stalling my heart's beating

The numbness I was living
has kept my eyes from bleeding
those feelings in me hidden
now down my face are fleeing

Your features, soft and glowing
inside my soul are growing
up walls like ivy crawling
enclosing me for keeping

To force of want submitting
myself to desire giving
I'll calmly live by loving
and free my love by living.

I feel like this poem can tell the story of anyone in a hopeless love situation. This poem really transmits a gloomy unavoidableness to these kinds of feelings. Bravo, Pathos.

This poem is awesome. The progression is logical and the imagery makes the poem so much more real. Good job :)
